Christmas with the Dallas Christian Jazz Band features 13 holiday favorites, both sacred and secular. The CD includes 11 tracks with the entire big band, plus one selection each by a Dixieland band and a trombone quartet, both comprised of DCJB members. As Music Director David Kelley explains in the liner notes, it seemed logical for the DCJB to record Christmas music: "The Christmas season is a special time each year for our group, as we celebrate the birth of Christ through our music, played in area malls and churches."
